Organization/School Paint Date
All Fired Up gives back to our community through Paint Date! Your organization or school can pick a month to participate in a Paint Date. All Fired Up provides a $5 gift certificate for each member of the organization or school. Pass out the gift certificates and encourage your members or students to visit All Fired Up during the designated month. When a gift certificate is redeemed during your month, All Fired Up will donate 10% of the total ticket back to your organization or school!
Painting pottery is a great family activity. Families can spend quality time together while creating a functional, beautiful art piece. This piece becomes a tangible memory that will last a lifetime!
Legacy Tile Wall
Many schools are memorializing their students’ artwork by creating a Legacy Tile Wall. All Fired Up can provide 4″x 4″ tiles or 6″x 6″ tiles for tile walls.
It is an excellent way to beautify your school by decorating a hall wall and it can raise money for your school or program!
4″ x 4″ tiles are $5.00 a piece. 6″x 6″ tiles are $7.00 per tile. We provide the tile, colored glazes, paint pens for labeling the tiles, clear glaze and firing. The glaze colors will include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and black. The tile design can be drawn on with pencil before students beginning painting with the glaze. Orientation is not a concern when designing the layout of the tile since it is square. We have several lesson options to create a successful wall with your students. If you need theme or lesson ideas please feel free to contact us. Once students have painted on the glaze, the tiles will be picked up and taken to All Fired Up. We will dip each tile in a clear, protective glaze and fire the tiles to make the design permanent. The tiles will be returned upon completion of the firing process.
Installation Recommendations are provided, however All Fired Up is not responsible for installing the tile wall. For best results, you may want to work with a parent or staff member who has construction experience. You do not need to grout the tiles if they are placed very close together on the wall. For a finished look you may obtain edge tiles in an appropriate color from your local building materials supplier. Get recommendation for adhesive from your local building material supplier based on the type of surface to which the tiles are being attached. Due to floor cleaning and wax we recommend keeping the bottom row of tiles up a distance from the floor. We do not recommend putting the tile wall outside.
There are a variety of options when choosing how to fund a tile wall. Some schools or parent organizations subsidize a portion of, or the entire, cost of the project. Others offer the parents the option to participate in the Legacy Tile Wall. Those parents wishing to be a part of this wonderful opportunity pay the full cost of the tile. Some parents will choose not to participate or may not have the available funds to do so. You may also chare the parents more than the cost price and raise additional funds for your art department or school. Grants to fund the entire project may be available from a community business partner, a local community foundation, or another non-profit group.
